Abstract

200,681. Vaughan, R. W. June 24, 1922. Bodies; hoods.-A detachable member for side cars consists either of a back rest 4, Fig. 1, with or without arm-rest portions 5, or of a coupe top 11, Fig. 5, the member being adjustable along the side car. The rear of the detachable member is provided with an additional hinged flap 10 which may be lowered into a horizontal position in the car body when the member is fixed in its forward position. The member has downwardly depending slotted lugs 6 which are engaged by screwed studs 7 projecting from the sides of the car and carry- 'ing wing nuts 8. The studs pass through holes in bridge plates 14. The flap 10 may be used as a luggage carrier.
