Boring - bars; reamers; taps.-An adjustable reamer or like tool comprises a body part having a central bore b in which slide two opposite coned members c, which are prevented from rotation by projections d engaging a slot e. A right and left hand threaded spindle f held against axial movement by a grubscrew i connects the coned members and is turned by a key l. The radially arranged cutters n are bevelled at p and engage the countersunk end of a sliding ferrule q which is retained by a lock-nut r. A cap may be fitted over the hollow end of the tool to adapt it for use as a boring-bar.
