Abstract

1536252 Electrical connectors AMERACE CORP 21 July 1977 [10 Aug 1976] 30667/77 Heading H2E In an electrical connector wherein electrical conductors 34, 38 are clamped between the end of a clamping screw 24 and the bottom clamping surface 18 of an electrical contact member 12, the end of the clamping screw 24 carries a cup-like clamping jaw 42 whose tubular wall has circumferentially spaced inwardly deformed portions 72 to capture the clamping jaw 42 upon the clamping screw 24 while enabling relative rotation between the clamping screw 24 and the clamping jaw 42, and circumferentially spaced lobes 74 projecting radially outwardly between the inwardly deformed portions 72 so as to engage one of the side walls 20 of the contact member 12 upon rotation of the clamping screw 24 to preclude rotation of the clamping jaw 42.
