Abstract
1534738 By-passing catalysts DR ING hcF PORSCHE AG 18 Oct 1976 [7 Nov 1975] 43150/76 Heading F1B The exhaust gas turbine by-pass line 15 of an exhaust gas turbo charged I.C. engine also by-passes an exhaust cleaning catalyst 17 which is placed in the exhaust gas turbine line, either upstream or downstream, Fig. 3 (not shown), of the turbine 11. The by-pass line control valve 13 operates in response to supercharging pressure at the throttle 7 and a further control valve 16 which by-passes the blower 4 responds to manifold depression to maintain blower speed when the throttle valve is closed.
