Abstract
1530910 Amorphous alloy resistor ALLIED CHEMICAL CORP 27 Nov 1975 [29 Nov 1974] 48837/75 Heading C7A [Also in Division H1] A precision resistor including a resistance element of a metal alloy which metal alloy is at least 50% amorphous. The resistor may be of composition:- Examples: Fe 40 Ni 40 P 14 B 6 Fe 32 Ni 36 Cr 14 P 12 B 6 Fe 25 Ni 25 Co 30 Cr 10 B 10 Fe 55 Ni 8 Co 5 Cr 15 B 17 The resistor may be in the form of an amorphous wire wound on an electrically insulative core. The wire may be produced by casting into a quench medium or on to a chill surface or may be vapour deposited using electron beam evaporation, vacuum sputtering or plasma spraying.
