Abstract

1518632 Rotary positive displacement device ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 20 Jan 1977 [20 Feb 1976] 02386/77 Heading F1F A pump or motor comprises an internally toothed gear-wheel 15 having the same number of teeth as a pinion 16 with which it meshes, the gearwheel 15 being slidingly mounted in a ring 14 which is pressed into a housing comprising two parts 11, 12 and end covers 12, 13. When the device functions as a pump fluid is drawn through a bore 50 and an arcuate passage 47 into expanding chambers defined by the meshing teeth and then as the chambers contract it is forced through bores 38 into a recess 24 of a valve 22, along bores 28, 29 to an annular groove 30, through transverse bores 31 into a bore 32 forming the output of the pump. The valve 22 is pressure balanced by fluid entering slots 35, 36 via bores 33, 34 and sealing plates 41, 42 are loaded by fluid-pressure introduced to recesses 43, 44 through bores 45, 46. The valve 22 may be rotated to control the pump output, by means of a pin 26, and the pinion 16 is driven by a drive-shaft 52. The gear-wheel 15 is balanced by fluid-pressure introduced to recesses 40 through bores 39.
