Abstract

The deep fat fryer has an inner stationary container (2) which is intended for receiving the product to be fried and an outer oil container (1) which is raisable and lowerable and surrounds the inner product container (2). The inner product container (2) is in flow connection via apertures (9) in the inner product container (2) with the interior of the outer oil container (1). A sealing element (12) which passes completely around the inside of the oil container (1) is arranged above the surface of the oil bath. It extends substantially up to the outside of the inner product container (2). The bottom (10) of the inner product container (2) lies substantially at the same height as the surface (3) of the oil bath in the lowered position of the oil container (1). An oil heater (14) is arranged on the wall of the oil container (1) at a height below the level of the oil. <IMAGE>
