Abstract
1511277 Scaffolding; lattice towers SOC FRANCAISE DES ECHAFAUDAGES SELFLOCK 11 Sept 1975 [12 Sept 1974] 37456/75 Headings E1K and E1S A scaffold element, from a plurality of which a tower may be assembled, comprises an upright 1 connected by a horizontal crossbar 2 and by an inclined brace 4 to a sleeve 3, the upright protruding at 1a and 1b beyond the cross-bar 2 and brace 4 by equal distances a, the sleeve 3 also protruding beyond the cross-bar 2 by the same distance a, and the sleeve 3 having a length h approximately equal to twice a, and internal dimensions corresponding to the external dimensions of the upright 1. The elements are arranged in opposed, parallel pairs to form a rectangular tower, adjacent elements at right angles being relatively inverted, with ends 1a, 1b of uprights 1 received in respective sleeves 3. Accessories include upper and lower screw-jacks 14 and 5 engaged in the uprights 1, and lateral and diagonal cross-bars 9 and 11 having sockets at their ends.
