Abstract

1509585 Bearings IWATSU ELECTRIC CO Ltd 7 Aug 1975 [16 Aug 1974] 32959/75 Heading F2A A member 3 for supporting an original in an electronic copying apparatus is mounted in a rectilinear motion bearing comprising a guide rail 11 secured to a side plate 1 of the apparatus and having a bearing surface 15 inclined at substantially 45 degrees, a component having a groove 16 with a bottom surface 16a parallel with surface 15, a supporting frame 17 of U- shaped cross-section inserted in the groove, and a plurality of resilient rollers 18 rotatably mounted on said supporting frame and contacting the surfaces 15, 16a. The rollers 18 may be of rubber. A further bearing comprising a steel ball 13 in a guide plate 19 may be provided.
