Abstract

In Figs. 1, 3, a conveyer roller 17 driven by a belt pressed upwardly against the roller comprises a spindle member 16, 16a which rests in an L-shape support 10 removably located in an opening in a frame side member 1. An inclined surface 15 of the support tends to permit disengagement of the belt drive when a load carried on the roller is arrested. In Fig. 4, the inclined surface 15 is replaced by a recess for the spindle 19 and no disengagement of the drive takes place. In Fig. 6 (not shown) an extended aperture in the frame side member removably receives U-shape roller supports, Figs. 7, 8. For use with a simple vertical plate frame side (28), Fig. 9 (not shown) or a flanged frame side, Fig. 10, a roller support 34 is of inverted U-section to fit closely on the lower boundary of the opening in the frame side. The roller support may be modified for a non-rotatable roller spindle (19), Figs. 12, 13 (not shown).
