Abstract

1509503 Marine structures OSF ESTABLISHMENT SA 11 Feb 1976 [11 Feb 1975] 05379/76 Heading E1H A marine structure of steel comprises a basestructure 10 which includes oil storage modules 20 and open topped ballast modules 22, 22'. Upper storage and/or flotation modules 12, 14 are located above the base structure and towers 16 extending upwardly from the modules 12, 14, above the sea-surface are provided with storage or flotation modules at their lower ends so that the tower bottoms may be fitted into the upper storage modules or into the base structure, the upper ends of the towers supporting a deck, and the bottoms of the modules of the base structure providing an area in contact with the sea floor such that pressure exerted thereon after immersion of the rig does not exceed a predetermined value.
