Abstract

1504868 Spraying-apparatus TURBAIR Ltd 15 May 1975 [7 June 1974] 25490/74 Heading B2F A spraying apparatus, particularly a portable one for spraying, e.g. a vaccine or insecticide, comprises an electric motor in a cylindrical casing 1; an atomized assembly 6, preferably a rotatable one, connected to the forward end of the casing through reduced cross-section tubular extension 5, and a fan 2 coupled to the motor to blow forward radial spray of atomized liquid produced by the assembly. Preferably, the atomized assembly comprises two axially spaced circular plates (8, 9), Fig. 2 (not shown) coupled either directly or through a gear box to the motor for their rotation and a nozzle, (10) connected to a liquid container 16 through a connector 15 supplies the liquid under gravity to the gap between the plates. The radial distance of the connector from the axis of the casing is such that the container does not obstruct the air blown by the fan. A protective back plate (13) is provided between the plate (9) and the casing.
