Abstract

1501408 Pulleys QUINTON HAZELL Ltd 30 June 1976 [25 April 1975] 17213/75 Addition to 1429790 Heading F2Q [Also in Division B5] The torque transmitting article of the parent Specification is provided with means for attachment of a further part. In Figs. 1 and 2 the pressed sheet metal part 20 is an annular plate 32 having internally screw-threaded projections 36 parallel to the axis of the bore 24, and the plastics casing 22 includes a V-groove pulley 26 axially displaced from the plane of the plate 32. The portion 48 of the casing 22 of the fan hub shown has internal and external ribs 51, 52, 54. The fan is attached by bolts screwed into the projections 36. In Fig. 5 a separately moulded pulley 176 is attached by bolts 188 screwed into projections 36. A second metal part 160 has four part cylindrical portions 167 ending in portions 168 which are outwardly turned and are united with the metal part 136 by being enclosed in the plastics casing 122. A threaded bore 172 formed in the metal part 160 and the plastics casing 122 receives a nut 184 which presses a washer 185 against a bush 183 to form a viscous coupling for a fan 186.
