Abstract

149,916. Fregonara, C. Aug. 2, 1919, [Convention date]. Ironwork, constructional.-Constructional elements, which are particularly intended for use as toys but may be made larger for use as constructional iron work, consist of triangular or V-shaped metal plates, Figs. 1 and 2, having lugs c projecting outwards from the ends of the limbs d and pierced with holes 1 for the reception of bolts. The hole 2 at the apex of the element has its centre situated at a little distance on the outer side of the axis of a limb as indicated at n, and the distance added to the distance m by which the centre of the hole 1 is separated from the axis should be at least equal to the breadth of the limb. Thus when two elements are connected, as shown in Fig. 5, the edges of adjacent limbs are superposed or are at a slight distance from each other. Strips of various lengths and pierced with bolt-holes may be used in connexion with these elements. Another element of rectangular shape, shown in Fig. 7, but corresponding to two of the triangular elements joined at their apexes, may also be used.
