Piling.-A sheet piling element of Z shape comprises two simple sections placed alternately on one side and the other of the neutral axis and assembled by means of an intermediate assembling section. The sections 1 are U-shaped as shown, with the branches sloping slightly out. ward. The edges 3 of the section may be thickened or claw shaped and adapted to slide in channels in the assembly section 2 or otherwise engage therewith. Sheet piling elements are formed by assembling together two such simple sections by means of an assembling section and attaching a second assembling section to the free edge of one section. The assembling sections 2 may be secured by compression, riveting or keying.
