Plug cocks. - In plug cocks held to their seatings by a compression spring such as 13, located ir a recessed member 11, which may be the boss of the handle 9 or may be separate therefrom, a split pin 10 is used to secure the recessed member or boss to the stem 8. The plug 4 is made of less length than its seating 3, and the larger end terminates in a short cylindrical portion 4<a>, as shown.
