Abstract

1484710 Bolt cutters BAHCO VERKTYG AB 29 Nov 1974 [29 Nov 1973] 51821/74 Heading B3W Bolt cutter jaws 1, 2 pivotable at 5 on, e.g. handles 4 and pivoted to each other at 8, 10 have cutting edges 6 which cut by moving towards but not past each other in the same plane. The bolt 8 passes through overlapping, stepped flanges 9 on the jaws and is surrounded by bearing surfaces 11 on each flange. Further bearing surfaces 12, 13 disposed at substantially equal radial distances from rebolt are mounted one on each jaw proper and the other on the flange in planes parallel to that of the surface 11. The shank of the bolt 8 includes an eccentric portion. Handles 4 on which the jaws can be mounted have stops 7 to limit the closing movement of the jaws 1, 2.
