Abstract

1484324 Railway wagons; underframes SOC MOBILIERE INDUSTRIELLE 1 Nov 1974 [9 Nov 1973] 47414/74 Heading B7L A railway wagon comprises a superstructure S detachably mounted on two spaced substructures C interconnected by longitudinal rods L, the superstructure and substructures have interengaging male and female parts 1, 2, each female part 2 including spring-loaded pivoted plates 5 engaging the edges of the male part 1 and holding it in position. Each end of the superstructure includes two laterally spaced male members 1 and an intermediate post 3, the latter engaging a central aperture in the associated substructure to locate the superstructure in position during assembly. Each substructure C carries a latch 18 co-operating with a keeper 19 on the superstructure, a safety device 20 preventing inadvertent operation of the latch when the wagon is assembled.
