A structural member has a base part 1 bent to form walls 2 and side flanges 4 between the double walls of which is secured a top-hat section member whose top 5 may extend partly or wholly across the space between the walls 2. The upper ends of the walls 2 may be flanged inwardly or outwardly joined together or doubled back on themselves.
