Abstract

1475734 Removing fodder from troughshaped silos VYZKUMMY USTAV ZEMEDELSKE TECHNIKY 29 July 1974 [31 July 1973] 33463/74 Heading A4C Fodder is removed from trough-shaped silos by pairs of oppositely handed worms, driven in opposite directions mounted on a structure 3 movable vertically on a frame 1, the worms stripping off horizontal layers of fodder in a column cut of knives 5 at the ends of the worms and chain cutters 6 formed with knives 7 at the sides of the array of worms. Cut fodder falls to a transverse worm conveyer 9 which feeds to an inclined delivery conveyer 10. The worms 4 and cutters 6 are driven from a motor 8 via transmission gearing. Cutters 6 may be replaced by rotating or vibrating knives.
