Abstract

1475283 Fuel injection apparatus CAV Ltd 6 May 1974 [15 May 1973] 23005/73 Heading FIB A fuel injection apparatus includes a control valve 10 having an axially movable valve-member 11 one end of which is shaped to co-operate with a seating to control the flow of fuel through an outlet 12, and a backing piston 13 which can be subjected to fluid-pressure so as to urge the valvemember 11 into contact with its seating, the apparatus including means 22 for supplying a control pressure to act on the backing piston. The operation of apparatus is described in Specification 1475282. The control valve 10 and an injector valve 27 may be combined Fig. 1, (not shown), and the movement of a displacement piston 15 may be limited hydraulically Figs. 3 and 4, (not shown). An adjustable stop (38) under the control of a device (41) provides for variable quantities of injected fuel.
