1471796 Fluid-pressure actuators A WACK R BEZICOT and A COSSET 30 May 1975 23611/75 Heading F1D In a piston and cylinder type actuator, Fig. 1, an electrical switch 20 with an operating rod 21, which extends into a passage 17, is provided at one end of the cylinder for actuation when the pistonrod is retracted and sealing means 24 are provided between the cylinder and the switch. Fig. 2 shows an embodiment in which a piston 30 with a sealing ring 32 provides a sealing and actuating means in the passage 17 between the rod 21 and a piston 13. Fig. 3 (not shown), illustrates an embodiment in which the piston 30 is replaced by an elastic sleeve 40. In each case insulating material 35 is provided round the switch.
