Abstract

1469626 Rotary positive-displacement fluid-machines ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 24 April 1975 [6 May 1974] 17116/75 Heading F1F In a gear pump, or motor, a lateral force on the outer portion of a power input, or output, shaft 21' produced by external power-transmitting means e.g. a gear-wheel or V-belt pulley, is balanced by fluid-pressure transmitted to a recess 30 in a ring 26 from the high-pressure side of the gear-wheels 14, 15 preferably by way of a bore 33. The recess may contain a seal 31 with an opening in register with the bore 33. Rotation of the ring may be prevented by a key 27. A sealing ring 34 may adjoin the ring 26 and be retained by a ring 35. Alternatively, the ring 26 is modified to support the sealing ring and has a lining of bearing material circumjacent the shaft, an additional sealing ring being lodged in its outer periphery, Fig. 4 (not shown).
