Abstract
1340018 Toothed gearing BENDIX CORP 19 April 1971 [24 Feb 1970] 22282/71 Heading F2Q In an epicyclic reduction gear comprising a stationary gear 12, an output gear 18 and a free floating ring gear 24 which is in driving engagement with the output gear and has outer teeth 26 which engage cavities 14 in the gear 12 which are adapted to receive fluid under pressure each of the teeth 26 has a profile as shown in Fig. 3. The profile comprises arcuate flanks 36, 38 of radius R centred at 44, 48 located a distance e, equal to the eccentricity of the ring gear 24, above a base line 34. The corresponding cavity 14 has arcuate flanks 50, 52 of radius (R+e) centred at points 54, 56. Alternatively, teeth may be formed in the stationary gear 12.
