Abstract
1467918 Mobile coating apparatus QUIGLEY CO INC 10 July 1975 [19 July 1974] 29159/75 Heading B2L [Also in Division F4] A mobile coating apparatus comprises a carriage 52, a turntable 36 mounted on the carriage a pivotable frame 28 for supporting a boom 24 movable longitudinally relative to said frame by a ram 40 and a gunning pipe 12 rotatable in bearings in the boom by a motor 44. The boom 24 is tiltable by means of a ram 34 and means are also provided for passing cooling air between the boom 24 and gunning pipe 12. A protective screen 45 of mineral wool is provided. Dry refractory material in pipe 53 is mixed at 51 with water from pipe 55 to provide a cooling slurry. A remote control panel 56 is also provided. The boom 24 is located in frame 28 by means of resilient roller bearings which have a self centreing action. A modified nozzle for reaching corners of the vessel is shown in Fig. 7.
