Abstract

1456867 Shuttleless looms RUTI-TE STRAKE BV 20 Dec 1973 [22 Dec 1972] 59071/73 Heading D1E An air nozzle 4 draws weft yarn from a cop 5 into a suction chamber 1 before it passes through a clamp 3 to an air jet inserter 2, a detector 7 being provided to indicate a required amount in chamber 1 and to stop operation of nozzle 4 and start operation of a nozzle 6 which holds the loop of weft against the suction created in chamber 1. When clamp 3 is released and the weft is picked the detector, which may be a photocell arrangement, allows more weft to be drawn in by the nozzle 4.
