Abstract

1,130,503. Looms. MACHINEFABRIEK L. te STRAKE N.V. 21 Feb., 1966 [19 Feb., 1965], No. 7549/66. Heading DIE. A jet loom has a flat slot like tube 2b which stores a measured amount of weft the tube comprising a clamp 6 which engages part of the stored loop to retain it in the tube so that when the nozzle is operated the measured length will be extended by the action of the air jet during its passage towards and into the shed. The channel 2b' is "dumbell" shaped with ends 2b". The clamp 6 closes the tube 2b" by the action of a spring 12 and is released by a lever 9 at appropriate times in the cycle.
