Abstract
1449547 Graft copolymers KANEGAFUCHI KAGAKU KOGYO KK 17 Jan 1974 [23 Jan 1973] 02207/74 Heading C3G A resin compound is produced by forming an aqueous dispersion of component A by polymerization of more than 50 to less than 95% by weight of a conjugated diene, 5 to 40% of an alkyl acrylate and up to 30% of an aromatic vinyl or vinylidene compound, forming a monomeric mixture as component B comprising more than 60% of an unsaturated nitrile and less than 40% of an alpha, beta-unsaturated carboxylic acid alkyl ester and effecting polymerization of a mixture of 1 to 30 parts by weight of component A and 99 to 70 parts of component B. Component A may include a cross-linking agent. Examples are given in which butadiene/ n-butyl acrylate/styrene rubber is grafted with methyl acrylate and acrylonitrile in aqueous emulsion.
