Abstract

1448324 Combined lawn mower and rake J E HINDMARCH and C HORNER 25 Oct 1974 [27 Aug 1974] 37288/74 Heading A1F A cylinder type lawn mower is provided with a rotary rake to the rear of its cutter, and both the cutter and rake are driven in the same direction by a power unit mounted on the mower's chassis. The chassis is supported upon adjustable wheels which allow the cutter and rake to be set at the same or different levels relative to the ground. The rake comprises tines mounted between springs for rotation upon sub-spindles which themselve are mounted on a main spindle F. The rake and mower spindles F, E are extended to allow drive transmission to auxiliary units such as a water pump. generator or soil sifter. They may also transmit drive to the mower's wheels.
