472,443. Machines for working land ; tractors. LASSAS, J. A. Aug. 15, 1936, No. 22514. [Class 6 (i)] [Also in Group XXXI] A land-working machine serving as a harrow or soil breaker and a tractor comprises the chassis of an ordinary motor road vehicle having each of the two rear driving wheels substituted by a rotary member e provided with substantially radial spikes g. The rotary members e are driven from the differential gear in the casing at the end of the driving shaft i, and consist of wooden or metal rollers carrying projecting metal helices f in which are fixed the metal spikes g. A rectangular frame k supports a seat l and carries spikes h for clearing soil from between the spikes g. Additional land-working members may be mounted on a rear axle driven by differential gearing from the propeller shaft i, or by chain or other gearing from the rollers e.
