Abstract

1445233 Knitting stockings K FANKHANEL 14 Jan 1974 [12 Jan 1973 6 March 1973] 01580/74 Heading DIK An elastic leg bandage has laid-in elastomeric weft threads occurring more frequently in the fabric of the calf than that of the thigh, the lengths of successive laid-in threads and the sizes of the stitch loops increasing progressively in the direction from the calf zone to the thigh zone. The bandage may have a foot-shaped part with laid-in elastomeric threads and with or without a heel and/or toe portion. The elastomeric wefts may be laid in in every course of the calf and every other course of the thigh.
