Abstract

1435881 Epicyclic gearing RHEINSTAHL AG 23 Jan 1974 [1 Feb 1973] 03179/74 Heading F2Q In a planet gear having three elements, viz. a sun 2, ring gear 3 and carrier 4a, one or more of which is/are freely movable, uniform loading of more than three planets is ensured by mounting two, four, six or more in pairs on rockers 5a pivoted at 6 on the carrier 4a at points of intersection of tangents 7 to a circle 9 through the planet centres 8. In Fig. 1 two planets 1 are directly mounted on the carrier 4a, the other two la on a rocker 5a. In Fig. 2 (not shown), one planet is directly mounted and two additional equi-spaced pairs are mounted on similar rockers (5b), whilst in Fig. 3 (not shown), three pairs are rocker mounted.
