Abstract
1433635 Pouring nozzles for ladles FOSECO INTERNATIONAL Ltd 31 May 1974 [7 June 1973] 27284/73 Heading F4B A pouring nozzle comprises an inner abrasion resistant sleeve secured at both ends to an outer refractory body so as to leave a wholly enclosed annular space which is filled with heat insulating material of at least 50% porosity. The inner sleeve 1 may be of zirconia or conindum and is cemented to the outer sleeve 3 of chamotte. The annular space 2 may be filled with a reticulate ceramic material. Either or both parts of the nozzle may be formed of particulate refractory material, which may be bonded with a colloidal oxide hydrosol, and may be fired.
