Abstract

1432520 Mixing apparatus RHEINSTAHL AG 16 Sept 1974 [17 September 1973] 40179/ 74 Heading B1C Apparatus for stirring pulverulent thermoplastic material and thereby heating it comprises a container 2 having stirrers 7, 10 mounted on coaxial shafts 6, 9 and independently driven in opposite directions by motors 3, 4. The stirrer 7 has curved ends conforming to the shape of the container and the stirrer 10 is detachable and vertical adjustable by means of exchangeable spacers 12. There may be more than one such adjustable stirrer. In operation the stirrers are rotated at peripheral speeds up to 50 rev/sec.
