Abstract

1432145 Ventilators BARBER & COLMAN Ltd 24 Aug 1973 [24 Aug 1972] 39389/72 Heading F4V An air diffuser comprises a mounting cylinder 5 with a peripheral flange 8; a pivot member 6 located centrally within the casing 5; an airflow directing element 7 movably mounted on the pivot member; and a tension spring 15 for maintaining the directing element and the pivot member in contact. The pivot is formed by three L-shaped members 9 connected together along one of their limbs, the end of each interconnected limb being in the form of a segment of a sphere. The free end of each member 9 is connected to the mounting cylinder. The directing element 7 consists of coaxial tubes 13 interconnected by a support bar 14; the inner tube being seated on the spherical-like end of the pivot. The tension spring 15 is held between the bar 14 and an aperture in the pivot member 9.
