Abstract

1430976 Ring spinning machine EDERA SpA OFFICINA MECCANICA TESSILE 24 Sept 1973 [29 Sept 1972] 44748/73 Headings DID and D1F A ring spinning machine has two spaced rows of spindles mounted in back to back relationship on a frame which carries respective cylinder sets overlying the rows, each spindle comprising three movable bars or rails supporting rings, anti-ballooning containers and thread guides respectively, in which machine the bars or rails of one row are not directly connected to the bars or rails of the other row so that the space between the spindle rows is free from vertically reciprocating bars or rail cross ties. The upper portion of the space between the spindle rows accommodates an air blowing or suction manifold supported by the frame for grasping broken threads, the lower portion of such space accommodates an air blowing or suction device 32, supported by the frame for cleaning the spindle rows, and the space between the cylinder sets accommodating an air blowing or suction device supported by the frame above said manifold for cleaning the cylinder sets. The cleaning devices can each comprise a fixed channel 33, 21, 31, extending lengthwise of the rows, the channel being connected to an air blowing or suction system and being equipped with air outlet or air inlet nozzles. The cleaning devices may move lengthwise of the rows and contain an air blowing or suction unit and be equipped with air blowing or suction nozzles. The cleaning devices can be moved by an endless chain via variable speed reduction gearing.
