Abstract

1422703 IC engine crank-cases AUTOMOBILES M BERLIET 30 Jan 1973 [4 Feb 1972] 4559/73 Heading F1B [Also in Division F2] A member 1 secured to the bottom of a crankcase 2 comprises bearings caps 4, the lower half 6 of a flywheel housing and reinforcing ribs 7 extending along the length of the member to the flywheel housing. The rear flange 8 of the housing half 6 forms a connection for a clutch housing. A surface 10 of the member 1 receives a sump 10. Walls 13 extending between the caps 4 form oil splash deflectors.
