Abstract

1421262 Road vehicle signalling GUNSON'S COLORPLUGS Ltd 18 March 1974 [16 May 1973] 23326/73 Heading G4Q In a road vehicle signalling system which incorporates side lights 10, side light switch 12, brake lights 11 and brake light switch 13, an added circuit 16 includes an additional (" fog ") switch 30 which connects battery potential to relay coil 41 or to point 46. In that embodiment switch 30 is shown in the " on " position whereby undimmed brake light illumination occurs when switches 12, 13 are closed and when switch 13 is open dimmed brake lighting is afforded via diode 34. The circuit is such that if switch 30 is " on " but switch 12 inadvertently open full brake light illumination still ensues. Dimming resistor 35 may be replaced by a (concealed) light bulb (e.g. 6 V, 24 W) to obviate delay inherent in the use of that resistor, Fig. 2 (not shown). A tell-tale 31 is included.
