Abstract

1419611 Diaphragm valves KEROTEST MFG CORP 21 March 1974 [10 April 1973] 12684/74 Heading F2V A diaphragm valve 10 comprises a body 12, having a chamber 14, inlet and outlet openings 16, 18, a valve seat 22, a spring-urged closure member 24, a flexible diaphragm 68, a bonnet 36 which abuts the diaphragm, a valve stem 78 passing through the bonnet and abutting the diaphragm, a stem seal 84 located in a counter bore 82 in the bonnet, and means 96 for moving the stem axially so as to open or close the valve. Seal 84 comprises wire packing rings which are expanded to provide the seal by a plate 90, moved axially by bolts 94.
