Abstract

Cutting and slicing vegetables. - The cutter of a chippotato machine is built up of two sets of blades 6 arranged in an inclined position to form divergent apertures. The blades are slotted to interlock at the points where they cross, the edges being all in the same plane. The ends of the blades enter slots 7 in the sides 1, 2 of the frame, which are detachably secured together by studs 3, so that the blades may be easily dismounted for cleaning. If slices are required, one set of blades is complete. but the other set comprises only one blade on each side to trim the edges.
