Turning-gear. - In order to prevent unauthorized starting, the starting-handle h is detachable from its shaft b, which is formed with a fixed key d and with sliding keys e, f pressed radially outwards by springs i. The hub g of the starting- handle is formed with a groove, an aperture g<2>, and an inclined groove g<3> for engagement with the keys d, e, f respectively. In order to detach the handle, the key e is depressed by means of a lever j or a plunger normally held up by a spring.
