Abstract

1411708 Developing apparatus XEROX CORP 25 June 1973 [28 June 1972] 29977/73 Heading G2H A cascade/powder cloud development system comprises a developer chute 62 having perforated conductive areas 52, 54; area 52 being electrically biased during development to attract toner from the chute through area 52 to form a cloud for developing an imaged drum 10, and area 54 being electrically biased after development to attract residual toner through area 54 towards a guide 42 for recirculation. A bucket conveyer 44 feeds developer to chute 62 to develop the image and then a bucket conveyer 46 feeds developer between area 54 and guide 42 to pick up the reclaimed residual toner.
