Abstract
1411446 Toner particles XEROX CORP 18 Dec 1972 [22 Dec 1971] 58247/72 Heading C3R [Also in Division G2] Electrostatic toner particles comprise a colorant and an amorphous, aromatic polyester having a polymer within which there is at least one divalent radical selected from the group consisting of: (a) an asymmetrical arylene radical having no centre of symmetry represented by the formula (I) wherein [Ar] is a divalent arylene radical having 6 to 8 carbon atoms, R is selected from hydrogen, alkyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, halo, sulpho and alkali metal salts thereof, nitro, cyano, lower alkoxy, amino, thio lower alkoxy and -N(R<SP>1</SP>) p wherein each R<SP>1</SP> is independently hydrogen or lower alkyl and p is 2 or 3, each m is independently 0 or 1 and n is 0 to 3 and (b) an asymmetrical alkylene radical having no centre of symmetry and represented by the Formula (II) wherein R<SP>11</SP> is an alkyl radical having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, each R<SP>111</SP> is independently hydrogen or R<SP>11</SP>, q is 1 to 10 and each r is independently 0 or 1.
