Abstract

1406306 Pumps VARLEY-FMC Ltd 27 Feb 1974 [28 Nov 1972] 54810/72 Heading F1A Two pumps 4, 5 are connected to a common manifold casing 1, the pump inlets 23, 25 being connected to a common inlet connection chamber 29 via check-valves 27, 28 and the pump outlets 24, 26 being connected to a common outlet connection chamber 32 via check-valves 46, 47, so that if one pump is removed for servicing, its inlet and outlet connections are isolated by the check-valves to permit continued operation of the other pump. Ball-valves 27, 28 are lightly biased by springs 33, 34 seated in access plugs 37, 38. Valves 46, 47 are spring-loaded and mounted in removable casings 44, 45. The pump inlets and outlets are connected to the manifold by hollow banjo bolts (52), Fig. 6 (not shown).
