Abstract

1,219,762. Reciprocating pumps. WILLIAM R. SELWOOD Ltd. Jan. 29, 1968 [Feb. 1, 1967], No.4788/67. Heading F1A. A reciprocating pump has inlet and outlet valves and a discharge chamber connected to the pump chamber by a bleed passage. The pump shown in Fig. 1 is of the bucket diaphragm type and includes an inlet chamber 11, inlet valve 28, bucket 15, outlet valve 33 and discharge chamber 13. A bleed 34 connects the chamber 13 to the pump chamber 10. Another embodiment is described having a normal piston and inlet and outlet flap valves.
