Abstract

A freight coupling device for lifting slings for attachment to a plate 13 through a non- circular hole 12 in the plate, comprises a carrying member 1 having a projection 7, a head 9 rigid with the projection, and a collar 8 rotatably mounted on the projection between the head and member 1. The cover fits snugly in the aperture and the head and collar . have co-operating abutment surfaces, such as steps 11a, 11b and a projection 10, defining a relative position of the head and collar in which the head is prevented from being withdrawn from the aperture.
