140,387. Bruni, G. March 15, 1919, [Convention date]. Vulcanizing-compositions.-Natural or synthetic rubber is vulcanized by the addition of salts of mono- or disubstituted dithiocarbamic acids and di- or tri-valent metals or inorganic radicles, and sulphur, the amount of sulphur being reduced to 2-0.2 per cent of the rubber. In an example, a mixing of 100 parts rubber, 0.5 parts sulphur, and 1 part pentamethylene dithiocarbamate of zinc, with or without the addition of mineral oxides, reclaimed rubber, substitutes, and the like, is vulcanized in the usual manner.
