Abstract
1401509 Dynamo-electric machines LICENTIA PATENT-VERWALTUNGS GmbH 17 Nov 1972 [18 Nov 1971] 53364/72 Heading H2A A rotary electrical machine comprises a housing 3 in which a stator core 6 can be inserted as a whole from above at right angles to the machine axis, end plates of the core resting on supporting protrusions 1 formed in the housing and the core being secured to the housing by bolts 7 passing through oblong holes 4 in the housing, bearing brackets for the machine rotor being mounted in apertures in end walls 2 of the housing, these apertures having been machined simultaneously with the protrusions 1 to ensure correct centering of the stator and rotor. The core is axially positioned by distance pieces 5 bolted to the protrusions 1. Thus cores of different length may be inserted in housings of a particular length by employing appropriate distance pieces. The bolts 7 are accessible from outside the housing to facilitate assembly and disassembly of the machine.
