Plug-cocks.-A three-way plug-cock provided with a solid plug 9 has a pair of balancing-pockets 18, 19 arranged about the outlet port 7 and connected to the inlet port 6 by a pair of divergent passages 21, 22 in the plug when the plug is moved to close the inlet. A further balancing. pocket 20 is arranged in the same plane as the inlet and outlet ports and is connected by a passage 23 to the main passage in the plug so as to admit pressure to this pocket when the plug is moved to connect the inlet to the intermediate 'port. The plug is adapted to be rotated by a handle 12 on pivots 11, 16, one arranged in the bottom of the casing, the other in a bridge 13 carried by pillars 14. Specification 12799/13 is refered to.
