1389178 Coating composition E I DU PONT DE NEMOURS & CO 10 May 1973 [11 May 1972] 22336/73 Headings C3B C3P and C3R A corrosion-inhibiting coating composition comprises: (I) particulate Zn, (II) a liquid carrier, (III) a water insoluble zinc salt or oxide and a binder component containing polyvinylidene fluoride (IV), an epoxy resin (V) and an aminoplast resin (VI). III may be zinc phosphate ; V may be a condensate of bisphenol A or bisphenol F with epichlorhydrin and VI may be a benzoguanamine-formaldehyde resin. The composition may comprise (relative to the binder component and by weight) 5-90% of IV, 5-90% of V, 5-90 of VI, 50-900% of I and 5-100% of III. II may be an aromatic hydrocarbon and diacetone alcohol.
